ROKI IN NO SHOW

It appears Roki is back to his bad old ways. At least a Rusape based promoter thinks the bad boy Roki is well and truly back.

Roki had agreed to come and be a surprise master of ceremony at the recently held Miss Dancehall where King Shaddy and Shinsoman were the main acts.

Roki was paid $70 in advance and $80 was supposed to be paid on the day of the show. The promoter was to provide transport, food and accommodation.

According to Canary Wharf boss, Cleopas ‘‘Suzgo’’ Mugomba, Roki refused to board a car that was sent to collect him in Harare, saying he would come alone as he was still in the studio.

“As per agreement, we sent a car to Harare to collect Roki, but he told the driver that he was busy in the studio and he will only leave Harare at 12 noon. The driver waited until 12, but Roki switched off his cellphone. It is so surprising because he was supposed to start performing here at around that time which means he should have been in Rusape earlier.

“Roki later sent us messages saying he was doing a song for an unnamed minister and he was no longer coming to Rusape and said he would reimburse us through Ecocash that day and up to now we have received nothing. We want our money back with interest or we will take legal action against him.

“We never expected such unprofessional conduct from him because he has been in the entertainment business for a long time now,” said Suzgo.
