Cape Town - This Sunday three housemates were booted out of the Big Brother house.
After
just two weeks in the house fans across Africa had to bid farewell to
two dancing queens who kept things sexy and interesting throughout their
stay.
This week's three eliminated housemates are Nigeria's
bubbly Lillian, Uganda's dancing queen Esther and the talented actress
Sabina from Kenya.
We had a chat with these three ladies, here's what they had to say:
Lillian
Channel24:
How was your stay in the BB house?
Lillian:
It was so much fun! I had the time of my life, I thanked God everyday for the opportunity.
Channel24:
How do you feel about the people who voted for you to be evicted?
Lillian:
I don’t know hey, but honestly, I'm not pissed. They were not my close
friends and it’s a competition so they had to put me up. I’m chilled I
would have been angry had they been friends of mine.
Channel24:
Are you going to pursue a career as a dancer?
Lillian:
No, not really, that’s just something I do for fun you know? Something
to channel my energy. It's something I do on the side and not something I
would do professionally. It’s just one of my many talents you know.
Channel24:
Do you think you stayed in the house long enough to show Africa the real you?
Lillian:
Of
course, even if I had stayed longer in the house I would have still
remained the same person that I had been in the past two weeks. That is
the real me, but if given the chance there would have been more things
about me that people were going to discover as the show went along.
Channel24:
What’s next for you now that you have left the BB house?
Lillian:
Well
I’m an actress, I’m a model by profession and I have a talk show coming
up soon, I have a lot stuff that I will be doing, I’m very excited.
Esther
Channel24:
Your dancing skills are on point! Is it purely talent or have you taken dancing lessons in the past?
Esther:
Since
I was about 13 years old I have always loved dancing. I have never had
professional lessons, it’s just something that I have always loved to
do. I taught myself how to perfect it, and if you really love to do
something I do not think you need professionals, you can teach yourself
to be better at that, whatever it is.
Channel24:
How does it feel knowing who put you up for eviction?
Esther:
I
happen to be a very straight forward person, and for me personally it
was very hard to have to put people up for elimination. So I was shocked
when I found out that people had also put me up to get eliminated, I
was really sad because those were people that I really liked and I
thought I got along very well with, but you know, do what you got to do
yo!
Channel24:
Who do you want to see walk away with the ultimate prize?
Esther:
Everybody
already knows my answer to that question, the one and only, my boy Tayo
from Nigeria! He is the sweetest person. He is straight like that, he
gives his true self, I do not see anyone but him walking away with the
win.
Channel24:
Is there anything that you think Africa did not get to find out about you during your stay in the BB house?
Esther:
I
really exposed my true self to Africa, I did not hide anything! What
you saw on the show was 100% who I genuinely am. I’m a great actress, I
love to act and I was not really given an opportunity to showcase that
skill during my time on the show and I love rapping, I’m really good at
that. I think Africa can agree with me because they too had the
opportunity to see that.
Channel24:
What’s next for you now that you have left the BB house?
Esther:
First and foremost I plan to use this platform to grow and become a better person. I
plan on watching myself during the two weeks that I was on the show and
see what mistakes I made and what can I change about myself. Hopefully
this will boost my rap career and open a dance studio and teach young
kids how to dance.
Sabina
Channel24:
How does it feel being out of the BB house?
Sabina:
You
know what? I am keeping positive, I do not want to focus on the
negative, yes I am very disappointed about the fact that it’s my time to
go home after just two weeks in the house. Those were the best two
weeks of my life, shout out to Big Brother for giving me the opportunity
to begin with.
Channel24:
How did you feel when you got evicted after thinking evictions were done and you were safe?
Sabina:
Oh
God, I was so sad, I sat there after the two ladies left thinking 'Yes!
I am safe'! I had even started praying thanking God, thanking Africa
for voting for me, I was so happy. I do not know why Biggie had to put
me through that, after having a break down during the two weeks I spent
in the house because it was very hard for me, I did however had my
suspicions that maybe I may be going home even before IK called out my
name, so I walked out with my head high.
Channel24:
What can you tell Africa about yourself that we do not already know?
Sabina:
There
is a lot to tell people about myself hey, but I’m gonna keep it short,
some of the most basic things about my character were portrayed in the
past two weeks. Everybody now knows that I am a mother, I am fun, I am
funny, I like to have a good time, I am a God fearing woman, I have
mixed personalities. You know I have a story to tell, I am creative and
multi-talented.
Channel24:
How did you deal with being away from your young child for two weeks?
Sabina:
Actually,
I was away doing something else before Big Brother so I was really away
from my child for almost two months. She was only six months when I
left, I cannot tell you how hard it has been for me, but this is
something that I felt I had to do, to make things better for her, for
her future. I’m a single mother so I have to do all that I need to do to
make sure that my child does not want for anything, that she has
everything she needs, a brighter future.
Channel24:
Do you have a message for your fans that supported you?
Sabina:
Thank
you so much Africa, thank you for your support, even though you did not
vote! I know that some of you supported me but that did not reflect in
the votes because you did not vote, but that’s OK. I hope that you got
to learn something from me, I’m like a big sister to everybody, so lets
keep this going, you can still keep in contact with me on Facebook and
Twitter.
